DAILY PROGRAM & ACTIVITIES

 

Structured Swim - All campers receive evaluation and daily YMCA structured swim in our outdoor pool.

 

Horseback Riding - Campers in the Tonaweh, Oyaneh and Sachem units are introduced to animal care and riding skills.

 

Hiking - Explore the miles and miles of woods on our marked trails. Find a mumba! Climb Warrior Rock! Make a wish at the Wishing Tree! On a hike is the place to be!

 

Archery - Learning how to shoot with a bow & arrow and hit targets for points. The best archer in camp wins the sacred Golden Arrow!

 

Arts & Crafts - Everything from boondoggle to tie dye to mobiles. Our craft program continues to find new and imaginative crafts for our campers to enjoy

 

Climbing Wall - Oyanehs, Sachems, and Tiogas can challenge themselves to climb to the top of our 28 foot high climbing wall. Many have tried and many have succeeded!

 

Lakefront Activities -> - featuring recreational swimming & fishing

<- Canoeing & Boating - in addition to rowboats and canoes, we now have paddle boats!

 

Adventure Course - Test your team building skills on the various low elements on our Adventure course. How do you get 20 people to stand on a small 3 ft. by 3 ft. box at the same time? How do get you past the Wild Woozy? Check out the Adventure course and you will find out!

 

Ecology Activities - Nature and campcraft studies and games. What can you see or find in the woods?

Y-ARTS - Using your mind to create through storytelling, drawing, and build challenging rock sculptures.

 

Sports & Games - Our huge athletic field plays host to many games of skill and endurance. Kickball, Capture the Flag and Thunder, Lightning, Fire are constant favorites.

 

FEATURE ACTIVITIES:

Overnights - Each two week session features one overnight for the Tonawehs, Oyanehs and Sachems. For a small fee, campers get to enjoy the Camp Iroquois Overnight experience which includes dinner, games, a silent hike, campfire activities (including s'mores, bug juice & stories), and breakfast. Campers may even choose to camp out under the stars (weather permitting)!

 

Special Days - Every session is filled with special days that feature its own unique activities. Some annual events include the Camp Iroquois Olympics (left), Gold Rush (right) & Crazy Hat Day.

 

Trading Post - Our famous camp store provides campers a chance to purchase boondoggle, treats and camp souvenirs. Each unit has their very own time to check out what's new at the store.
